Why do we want to grow up so fast...

One day I saw a picture with a title: “Childhood is over when you start to go around the swamps”. Why does life need to be so difficult? When you are little, you want to grow up as soon as possible. When you are an adult, you always say to those small: "When I was your age..."...And that is because your dream is to come back to that time for at least split second. Because adult life is absolutely not as easy.
Some of us want to come back to the age when we were very little, others - to the middle of school years and some - to the very sweet age of 16 or days before age of 18 when there were lots of things that you couldn't do without parents’ permission or just... you are not 18 yet. It goes without saying that most people want to feel a bit of that wild time they had after turning 18 - maybe studied, maybe traveled/moved abroad, maybe moved out from parents, to where it was a new fresh start / first stage of your adult life.

I like memories! I keep old letters, love notes from school etc. Sometimes I spend lots of time looking at old photos reminiscing things. Yesterday I was looking at some photos from year 1996. That year we were in Nida with my parents.
Nida is a resort town in Lithuania, by the Baltic sea.
I remember it so well. We’ve spent the whole week there by the sea, eating fresh fish, sailing. There was a music festival "Benai, plaukiam į Nidą" which I've enjoyed so much. The host of that event - was an "Amber" of Lithuania. Why “was”? Because sadly he is not with us anymore... I have loved music since I was very little, and at my age of 10, I had already known basically all the words of the Lithuanian songs.
Jesus Time, you go way too fast.
Me in particular ...I would love to come back at least for one day to year 1996. I would love to be carried on my father's shoulders, to be embraced so strong by my mother on a windy day on a boat, to stand in the shop and say "Can I have an ice-cream, please". Can I? Can I please slow everything down and enjoy it more and more? Believe me, there are more stages of my life that I would be glad to go back to. I don't want to change anything, but I would like to have the same knowledge then as I have know. Knowledge about things, that I would keep everything lasting longer back then. Now I make decisions by myself. And I eat much more ice-cream than I should. Sorry Mum :) I'm not saying, that my life is not good now, I just want to send a message to those teenagers who want to live adult life too early (even if not everybody going to understand me): enjoy absolutely every single second of your life. There is plenty of time! Everything happens just how it should happen. You don't need to rush. Let's build every stage of your life by feeling it, not because you need it...
...and sometimes go to play outside instead of being “glued” to your electronic gadgets :)...
